Peggy White Billingsley

Peggy White Billingsley, 67, of Looxahoma, Miss., passed away on March, 18, 2014. Services were held on Friday, March 21, at 2:00 p.m. at Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia. Burial followed in Looxahoma Crossroads Cemetery.

Mrs. Billingsley was a retired beautician, former Memphis Policewoman, and medical assistant. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Billingsley, and grandson, Jerry Price III.

She is survived by her daughter, Kandy Billingsley of Sardis; son, Russell Billingsley III (Nicole) of Senatobia; sister, Jewel Dean White of Rock, West Virginia; grandchildren, Paige Price, Ryan Billingsley, Beth Billingsley, Kylie Billingsley, Morgan Crum and Jayden Billingsley; great grandchildren, Ethan and Carlie Lunceford; and special friend, Dale Rutledge of Courtland.

Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia had charge of the arrangements.



John Edward Collins

John Edward Collins, 68, automotive vender and body repair, of Batesville, Miss., passed away on March 11, 2014. Funeral services were held at Macedonia M.B. Church in Batesville on Saturday, March 22, at 12 noon. 

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived his wife, Dorothy “Ann” Gatewood Collins; daughters, Lawanda Hamiliton of Memphis, Tenn., T’Anna Brown of Batesville, and Quenetha Sherra Johnson of Batesville; sons, Rodney Hibbler of Senatobia, John Collins, Jr. of Batesville, and Fredrick Collins of Chicago, Ill.; brother, Ray Collins of Chicago, Ill.; and 13 grandchildren.

Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater had charge of the arrangements.


Vincent E. Vorodi

Vincent E. Vorodi, 79, passed away on March 17, 2014 at the Senatobia Convalescent Center. Services were held on Wednesday, March 19, at 2:00 p.m. graveside at Longtown Cemetery.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the Air Force. He worked as a mechanic for a nuclear power plant.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Vorodi of Senatobia; daughters, Stephanie Vorodi of Middletown, Pa. and Debby O’Quinn of Hernando; brother, Richard Vorodi of Mechanicsville, Pa.; and grandson, Vincent Michael Vorodi.

Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia had charge of the arrangements.



James Ronald Williams

James Ronald Williams, 82, of Coldwater, Miss., formerly of Southaven, passed away March 19, 2014 at his residence. Services were held Sunday, March 23, at 3:00 p.m. at Lifepoint Church in Senatobia, where he was a member. Burial followed in Desoto Memorial Gardens in Southaven.  

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the Army. 

He is survived by his wife, Sally Williams; daughters, Cindy Eason of Hernando and Cathy Weaver of South Korea; sons, Mike Williams of Horn Lake, and Tim Williams of Hernando; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
