Recent guest of Margie and Rob Dye was his sister, Jessie Binner of Memphis. Leland Moore enjoyed a recent visit from her brother, Wayne Dunn, Laurie and Bobby Surrell from Talladaga, La.

Jimmy Hawkins and daughter of Dyersburg, Texas visited his mother, Johnnie Hawkins, and enroute home, he stopped to visit his dad, Yodi at St. Francis Hospital.

Andy and Scottie spent a few days in Missouri and later her mother, Pam Dye, sister, Amy and children Braden and Caymen vacationed in Arkansas.

Sympathy is sent to Betty Perryman and other family members in the death of her brother, James Henley.

The Evansville Church Youth and Youth Director and wife, Jacob and Ashley Coleman, returned Saturday from a youth mission trip in Alabama. It was interesting to hear of the things they helped do.

Angie and Brad Riley spent several days in Hardy, Ark. last week.

The community was shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden death of Shane Herron. May God bless his family.

Ann Gill hosted the Baptist Young Women meeting at her home Tuesday evening.

I enjoyed an all day visit from my sister, Julia Neal of Slayden, Miss. Friday. Congratulations to the Warhawks, Hernando All Stars who won second place in the state tournament and will be going to the world series. One of the players is Ethan Houston, son of Robbie Houston and Ashley Campbell, grandson of Pat and Roy Houston, Mike and Brenda Campbell and Connie and Harvey Sidders. The great grandparents are also very proud of his accomplishments.

Pam Everitt of Jackson and Polly Mangrum honored their sister and daughter-in-law Melanie Mangrum with a baby shower Saturday a.m. at the Arkabutla Community Center. She received many lovely, useful gifts.

Linda Red of Lakeland, Tenn. visited her mother Priscilla Red for a week and she enjoyed her greatly.

Harvey and Connie Siddon, Teresa and Chuck Littlejohn, and Debra Hale had the pleasure of taking their parents Alton and Barbara Mooneyhan to the coast for a few days. This is the first time they have been able to travel due to their health, so it was a very special trip for them. Also having their grandchildren and great grands attended was very special too. They are Haley and Sierra Siddon Ashley, Eric, and Lane Campbell, Ethan and Talen Houston, Jathum and Charleebeth Littlejohn, James Scott, Austin Hudspeth and Lindsey Hale.

Saturday afternoon, friends and family gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Sinquefields for a benefit barbecue and music to help Ricky Willard and wife since his stroke. I was glad to see him able to attend. It turned out real will and is greatly appreciated by this family. Winning number from the drawing was 273381. Call if you have it.

Congratulations to Gwen Hatley and Jason Ivy who were married July 9 in the evening at the home of her father, Charly Heffner.

Congratulations to Patsy Moore who has become a grandmother! Her daughter, Misty, had a baby girl on July 11. Good news that both mother and baby are fine.
