Gloria Dean Forest

Gloria Dean Forest, 57, of Batesville, Miss., passed away September 17, 2012. Funeral services were held graveside at Second Baptist Church Cemetery in Coldwater Thursday, September 20 at 2 p.m.

She is survived by three sisters, Josephine Moore, Rosie Young, and Ella Mae Forest, all of Coldwater; and five brothers, Willie Forest Jr., George Forest, Stanley Forest and Richard Forest all of Coldwater, and Joe Ramsey of Memphis, Tenn.

Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater had charge of the arrangements.



Jessie Ferrell Hudson

Jessie Ferrell Hudson, 61, farmer, of the Greenleaf Community, died September 17, 2012. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 20 at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home in Hernando. Burial followed at Greenleaf Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Hudson; a daughter, Annie Kathleen King; a son, Ben Hudson; a sister, Martha Jean Hudson; and a brother, Jimmy Hudson, all of the Greenleaf Community.



Katherine Amanda Bailey Wood

Katherine Amanda Bailey Wood, 39, of Henderson, Tenn., passed away at her home September 14, 2012.

She was born in Memphis and was raised in Senatobia. She was the daughter of Rosemary Britt Bailey and the late William Larry Bailey. She went to Union University in Jackson and graduated in 2000 with a BA in Education. She married Billy Dewayne Wood of Jackson in 1993. She taught elementary school and Pre-K in Brownsville, Whiteville, and Chester County. She enjoyed teaching and singing gospel music. She was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Dewayne Wood of Henderson; her mother, Rosemary Britt Bailey of Jackson; her daughter, Emily Wood of Henderson; two brothers, Larry Neal Bailey of Cordova and Robert Andrew Bailey of Jackson; and a sister, Mary Nell Bailey of Jackson; aunts, Janice Stull and Shirley Trimm (Bill) of Senatobia; and her uncle, John (Betty) Britt of Batesville.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Larry Bailey, in 2007.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 16 at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Casey Chapel. Jeff Smith officiated. Burial followed at Old Friendship Cemetery in Chester County.
