Taylor Terrell Clayton


Taylor Terrell Clayton, 20, of Stone Mountain, Ga., formerly of Coldwater, died September 18, 2012. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 6 at 12 noon at Bluff Road Church of Christ in Arkabutla. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.

Taylor is survived by the following: mother, Barbara Clayton, of Stone Mountain, Ga.; a brother, Ian Crawford Clayton, of Stone Mountain, Ga.; and her grandparents, Willie and Annette Clayton of Coldwater.


Sandra Roxanne Duke


Sandra Roxanne Duke, 56, of Memphis, Tenn., passed away October 2, 2012. Funeral services were held at Hernando Funeral Home Friday, October 5 at 2:00 p.m. Interment was in Palestine Cemetery.

She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Jeremy Denman Bryant of Bartlett, Tenn.; sisters, Ida Irby (Mike) of Coldwater, Kay Sowell (Russell) of Coldwater, Suzan Wren of Hornsby, Tenn., Beverly Walk (Billy) of Brighton, Tenn., Kerry Mettler (Bernard) of Bartlett, Tenn., Teresa South (David) of Bartlett, Tenn.; and 64 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys Duke; a sister, Maryjane Turnage; and a brother, William Anthony Duke.


Bessie Douglas Farrow


Bessie Douglas Farrow, 74, of Independence, Miss., died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at her home. She was a member of Bett Baptist Church.

Mrs. Farrow is survived by four daughters, Susan Greer (Ernie) of Independence, Audrey Tarrance (Gerald) of Independence, Elizabeth Geeslin Thomas of Arkabutla, and Rebecca Munns (Jerry) of Independence; two sons, William "DeDe" Farrow and Steve Allen Farrow, both of Independence; two sisters, Earline Cleveland of Southaven, and Pauline Riley of Independence; 21 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Byron Farrow; and one son, Charles Farrow.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6 at Bett Baptist Church in Independence. Burial followed at Bett-Everson Cemetery in Independence.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Bett Baptist Church.

Ray-Nowell Funeral Home - Senatobia Chapel had charge of the arrangements.


Pamela Ray Gann Glover


Pamela Ray Gann Glover, 64, died Friday, September 28, 2012 at her home in the Longtown Community in Panola County.

Mrs. Glover, a member of First Baptist Church in Sledge, was an avid gardener and reader and she loved all of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Glover of Longtown; one daughter, Stacy Holley (Brent) of Longtown; one son, B.J. Glover (Amanda) of Senatobia; nine grandchildren, Caleb O'Neal, C.J. Freeman, Cole O'Neal, Lauren Freeman, Logan Glover, Lane Freeman, Lanie Freeman, Austin Glover, and Allyson Glover; and three brothers, Donnie Gann of Vicksburg, Miss., Ricky Gann of Longtown, and Raymond D. Gann, Jr., of Batesville.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 30 at Ray-Nowell Funeral Home. Burial followed the funeral service at Peach Creek Cemetery in Panola County.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be sent to the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure at the following address: Komen Memphis-MidSouth, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 75, Memphis, TN 38148-0075.

Theophilus Hill


Theophilus Hill, 58, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Coldwater, died September 28, 2012. Funeral services were held at Union Street Church of Christ in Tunica Saturday, October 6. Interment followed at Pratchard Rd. Cemetery in Coldwater.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Hill, of Coffeeville, Kan.; a son, Jarvis Hill of Tunica; two sisters, Annie Hines of Memphis, Tenn. and Savannah Ezelle of Seattle, Wash.; four brothers, Dabuner Hill of Coldwater, Lemar Hill of Memphis, Tenn., Maurice Hill of Memphis, Tenn., and Cleophilus Hill of Seattle, Wash.; and three grandchildren.


Susie Clarkson Smith


Susie Clarkson Smith, 104, a resident of the Senatobia Convalescent Center, and a former resident of Courtland, Miss., passed away September 30, 2012.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Courtland Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Neff of Hollandale, Miss. and Eunice Speed of Albany, Ga.; one son, Charles Smith of Marks, Miss.; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and one special granddaughter, Camille Massey of Senatobia.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. October 7 at Wells Funeral Home. Private cremation burial services will be held at a later date.
Wells Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
