A large group from Bett Baptist Church had a night out at the movies in Senatobia last Friday night. They watched "Fireproof" and all reported that it was a really good movie and everyone should try to get out to see it. Saturday was moving day and the nursery was moved to its new location and on Sunday morning the doors were open. Ms. Mary McAbee was there to welcome the babies to Nursery Sunday School and the first one there was Lylianna Jade Baker (who is the granddaughter of Cody and Pam Baker). With the nursery and two classes, we had a building full of children and everyone seems to like the new location. So now that we've made the move and that's finished what will we have to talk about now? Lots of stuff caused the move of the nursery and class rooms made room downstairs for something else, whats up now? Will it be something for the youth? You'll just have to come by and see because the new nursery is not the end of things to come, it was only the beginning! Saturday night was a busy church night in Tate County. I think something was happening in all the churches. I know Bett and Wyatte were both making a joyful noise unto the Lord. Bett had it's Helping Hands of Faith Fall Fundraiser with music and singing from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with different groups like The Bakers, Blue Grass Friends, Gerald McAbee, Brush Arbor and The Geeslin's. While the group "Somewhere In Between" was at Wyatte having a christian rock concert, there was good music all across the county Saturday night. I hope you were able to get out and enjoy it. I enjoyed what was happening at Bett Baptist Church and I hear all who was at Wyatte enjoyed that as well. If we only knew somebody with connections to the group "Somewhere in Between", we could get them to come to our church and put on a concert for us and our youth outside on the stage and maybe have a fire in the pit and some marshmallows and hotdogs. If we only knew somebody! There has been a new member added to our family. On September 28, 2008 at 6:38 p.m. Silas Andrew Busby was born. He weighed 5 pounds and 15 ounces and was 19 inches long. His very proud parents are Andy and BJ Busby. His big sister is Haley Grace; grandparents are Lessie and Bill Bailey, Chuck Busby and Deanna; and greatgrandparents are Kay Watkins, Edith Busby and the late Charles Busby, Jim and Minyon Beavers; and great great grandparents are PAPA-George Moss, Baby Silas shares his name with his late great great-grandaddy Silas Busby, and he shares his birth date with his Aunt Cindy. I hope they will share lots of great birthday parties together. Welcome to the family "Little Buzzy" Remember October 19 will be "Worshiping in Praise and song" with Mike Culpepper and Mary Fay Jackson with potluck following. Here are a few people to add to your prayer list this week: Jason Wallace's children, family and friends as they try to cope with his death; Ms. Ovell McKinney, who is the mother of Danny McKinney, is very ill; Brenda Cook is having severe back pain; Leon and Joyce Geeslin, Emma Dell Geeslin, Kay Taylor, she in in Baptist DeSoto at this time on the 8th floor; James (Jimmy) Leatherwood is in Methodist North; and Carolyn Jones. Happy Anniversary to Dennis and Teresa Farrow on October 7 and me and Stanley on the same day!! A few weeks ago I misspelled Richey Roberts name and I am so sorry for this mistake. So!, I did a little bit of research just to see how many different ways a person with the name RICHEY Roberts might spell his name, only if he gets tired of the old way, This is what I found: Richey, Richie, Ritchey, Ritchie, Ritschee, Ruetschi and even with more research I found it spelled "Big Rich" on Pat Sullivans cd cover.
