The Democrat recently welcomed its new summer intern.
Nathan Gregory, a student at Northwest Mississippi Community College, will be working with The Democrat staff through the summer. Gregory's main responsibility will be working on the editorial content for the newspaper's annual magazine, "Welcome to Tate County."
Gregory, a 2004 graduate of Senatobia High School, is a journalism major at NWCC. He is a sophomore. The 19 year old is a lifelong resident of Looxahoma.
Gregory worked as a staff reporter at NWCC's newspaper, The Ranger Rocket during the past school year. He has been named editor of The Ranger Rocket for 2005-2006.
The son of Robert and Wendy Gregory of Looxahoma, he enjoys writing, listening to and playing music, attending music concerts and movies, camping, fishing and video games.
Joe Lee III , publisher of The Democrat said, "We are very happy to have Nathan on board."
"He will be a great asset to Tate County's award winning annual magazine." "Nathan and News Editor LaJuan Tallo are already working on a long list of new and interesting features for Welcome to Tate County 2006, Lee added.
