Mississippi State Representative Joe C. Gardner has died, as confirmed by Panola County officials.

Gardner represents District 11 in the Mississippi House of Representatives, which covers parts of Tate and Panola counties.

Gardner was at home after speaking with other local legislators at a legislative breakfast in Senatobia this morning.
